SBASB99 November 2025 AMC1200C
PRODUCTION DATA
The AMC1200C provides a differential analog output voltage on the OUTP and OUTN pins proportional to the input voltage. For input voltages in the range from VFSR, MIN to VFSR, MAX, the device has a linear response with an output voltage equal to:
At zero input, both pins output the same common-mode output voltage VCMout, as specified in the Electrical Characteristics table. For absolute input voltages greater than |VFSR | but less than |VClipping|, the differential output voltage continues to increase in magnitude, but with reduced linearity performance. The outputs saturate at a differential output voltage of VCLIPout, as shown in Figure 6-2, if the input voltage exceeds the VClipping value.
The AMC1200C output offers a fail-safe feature that simplifies diagnostics on a system level. Figure 6-2 shows the behavior in fail-safe mode, in which the AMC1200C outputs a negative differential output voltage that does not occur under normal operating conditions. The fail-safe output is active:
Use the maximum VFAILSAFE voltage specified in the Electrical Characteristics table as a reference value for fail-safe detection on a system level.
