This section includes a list of supplies required to perform tests on this EVM.
- Power Supplies: Power Supply #1 (PS #1): A
power supply capable of supplying up 26V at 3.3 A is required.
- Load #1 for simulating a battery: Best
option: 4-Quadrant Supply, voltage source/sink
capable of ±26
V,
0 to ±5 A (or higher). A 1000uF capacitor
connected in parallel is also recommended.
Alternative Option: A
0–26V/at least 3.3A, DC electronic load set in
a constant voltage loading mode. A second power
supply connected by a diode in parallel with the
electronic load may be needed to apply a startup
voltage < simulated battery voltage.
- Load #2 for simulating a load at in forward/charge/sink mode. Or connect
to VPWR for a load in reverse/OTG/source mode:
Electronic or resistive ;oad capable sinking at
least 3.3A from up to 26V
- Meters: 4x "Fluke 75" multi-meters, (equivalent or better).
- Computer: A Windows 10 or 11 based
computer with at least one USB port and a USB
cable. Must have the latest version of Battery
Management Studio installed.
- USB Communication Kit:EV2400 or EV2500
USB-based PC interface board.
- Software: BQSTUDIO software with latest
.bqz file for the correct BQ2569X IC provided by
Texas Instruments. Download and install BQSTUDIO
from https://www.ti.com/tool/BQSTUDIO.
